Cornerstone goes beyond just the normal classes of education. Character training is an important element of Cornerstone Christian Academy. We believe that the heart of character training is obedience, which will eventually cultivate an inner self-discipline and is essential to the emotional, physical, social and spiritual well being of the student. The teacher is the authority in the classroom. Discipline is administered firmly, but fairly. To obey, to do right, to love God and country, and to always measure one’s attitudes and actions against the principles laid out in the Scriptures are characteristics we strive to instill in each student. We are equipping them for their role in God’s plan for their lives and for their proper place in society.

At Cornerstone we believe that our youth are struggling with or missing strong biblical convictions. A conviction is a fixed and strong belief that one lives out in his day-to-day life; it is the compass of the soul which guides a person through the many opportunities and snares that life has to offer. In a society that no longer holds to absolutes, or biblical standards as the definitive authority on what is true, righteous, and pure, God’s convictions must be instilled into each child, or the world’s will be. At Cornerstone Christian Academy we believe that an essential aspect of our training and equipping youth to be the next generation of godly leaders is to instill within their hearts the Christ - centered convictions that will guide them through their lives.
